How do I add cutlery?

Overview

Cutlery can be added to your menu so that users can select whether they would like cutlery to be included with their orders. This is especially useful for takeout and delivery options, as many customers might elect to use their own cutlery, but those who need cutlery included should have the option to indicate so.

Having cutlery function as an 'Upsale Only' reduces the friction of having to order cutlery as a menu item, and instead prompts users to select it easily at the checkout stage.

Adding cutlery to your menu

Cutlery will display on the Review Order page 

1. Add a category to your menu.
2. Add category name "Cutlery" 
   1. This category name will not display to users.
3. Select the Category type code "Cutlery".
4. Select Upsale Only 
   • This is important so that the category does not display on your menu
5. Click Save
6. Go to the ITEMS tab under the Menus section.
7. Go to the Cutlery category you just set up 
8. Add a menu item with name of your desired Cutlery item (ie. Cutlery, Cutlery set, Fork, Spoon, etc.)
9. Add a price to item.
   • This price can be $0.00

10. Publish item
    • The cutlery button should now display on the review order page
