Overview
Menu items can be shared throughout multiple categories or menus.
For example, if you offer the same menu item for both pick-up and delivery, lunch and dinner, or even within the same menu as both an appetizer and a side.
Menu items that are shared are completely linked. There is one menu item record. If you update any information associated with the item (name, pricing, availability, images, etc.), it will change in all locations.
This feature uses the duplicate icon.
Step 1: Create menu category
Ensure you have an existing menu category that you would like to place your copy into. If not, follow the below steps to create.
- Select the desired menu
- Select New Local Category plus icon
- Enter category name
- Select ‘Save’
Step 2: Share menu item(s)
Share the existing menu item(s) into the new category.
- Select the duplicate icon on the bottom left of the menu item
- In the pop-up, select the new category you would like to share to
- Select ‘Next’
- If you would like to share items in bulk, check off all other beverages when prompted
- Select ‘Assign To Category’
