Overview
Pairings are items that are suggested to users based on the items they have added to their cart. They are displayed on the checkout page, when the customer is prompted to review their order, under 'You May Also Like.' For example, you might set up pairings for a burger item, where the suggested items would be fries and soda.
Only menu items can have pairings assigned.
- Only menu items can be pairings (modifiers cannot be pairings).
- For enterprise menus, item pairings are set up at the primary location and shared across menus.
This article will contain UI/UX details to show how pairings are displayed on the ordering site, as well as instructions for setting up pairings for items in backoffice. Reach out to your PM to determine whether pairings are compatible with your mobile, kiosk, or web app.
