Overview
Service charges are additional charges/fees on orders. This may include delivery fees, bottle deposits, tips or eco-fees.

You can set up the following service charges in the back-office:
- Service charge
- Tips
- Restaurant charge
- Bottle deposit charge
- Eco fee
- Bag fee
Service Charge |
Service charges are charges on orders for any special or additional service you may be providing to you customers, such as delivery. |

Tips are additional charges given to staff at an establishment, usually as a percentage of order total |
Restaurant charge |
A restaurant charge is any additional fee to an order that may not be related to specific service you are providing |
Bottle deposit charge |
Bottle deposit charges are typically charges on items with returnable containers |
Eco fee |
An eco-fee is typically any additional charge on waste such as single-use plastic products. |
Bag fee |
Bag-fees are charges for bags used to fulfill order. You can set up a bag-fee per item count. For example, if you can fit 3 items in each bag, you can charge a fee per every 3 items in an order. |
Setting up service charges
| Pre-requisite: If you are POS integrated, create an open item in your POS to map the fee to before setting up the service charge in backoffice |
- Go to Brands & Locations > Edit location
- Go to the Taxes & Fees tab

In the Service Charge section, click Add Service Charge
- In the pop-up, add a label to you service charge.
- This note will be shown to customers.
- Select the order type that you want the charge to apply to.
- You will have to set up the charge multiple times to apply it to multiple order types.
- Select whether the charge applies automatically (Yes or No)
- Add the amount of the service charge.
- Service charges can be configured as flat dollar amounts or aa percentages of the order total.
- If you are POS integrated;
- Add the POS ID.
- Add the POS Item name.
- Add a minimum purchase amount, if a purchase amount is required for the charge to apply.
- If no purchase amount is required for the charge to apply, you can set this value to $0.00
- Select if the service charge is taxable or not

If you are setting up a Bag fee charge, you can charge an amount per item in customer's cart.
- In this case, please specify the charge per item count.
- For example, you might choose to charge a bag fee for every 10 items; so the fee will only apply once unless the order contains over 10 items.
