Overvie
When locations are experiencing operational issues or an influx of larger orders, incoming orders can be temporarily delayed from the order monitor for a set time. These delays can be cancelled early, but otherwise will expire automatically once the selected time elapses.
Backoffice - Delaying Orders
- Go to the Order Monitor section of backoffice
- Select Brand and Location from the dropdown menus
- Orders for the current date will load automatically.
- Select the gear icon on the top right of page
- This appears next to the download production report and refresh orders icons
- Select your desired delay under 'Delay future orders by'
- Options presented are: 15 min, 30 min, 45 min, 60 min
- You can also change the lead time for the given delay, or add additional delivery prep time.
- NOTE: changing the lead time in this window will also change the lead time in settings, and this would have to be reverted manually.
- Click on Save Changes
NOTE: The delay ONLY applies to orders that have not yet been placed. Submitted orders will not be affected.
- The override will ONLY apply for the chosen number of minutes. It will be removed after the allotted time.
- If the lead time 'Delay' is set to an amount less than the current lead time, the lead time will be reduced.
Cancelling Delays Early
If you would like to end a current delay before the time elapses, you can cancel it in the order monitor as well. If delay is not cancelled, it will expire at the date and time stated. After this time, guests will be able to order with the regularly scheduled lead time.
- When a temporary delay is already active, you can select the gear icon on the top right of page.
- Select the CANCEL button
- Click on Save Changes
Change lead time
- Select the gear icon on the top right of page
- Adjust the current pickup, delivery, or delivery network lead time
- Lead times are set in minutes
- Click on Save Changes.
Notes: Updating the lead time here will also update the lead time in the settings tab of the location.
