How do I set up scheduled availability for alcohol?

Overview

We've added the ability to schedule the availability hours of alcohol menu categories. Backoffice users can now schedule the hours in which alcohol menu categories are available to order. 

We added this feature to make it easier for stores in Ontario to sell alcohol products during the legal time frame each day. 

Pre-requisite 

Please ensure that all alcohol menu items are within a menu category that has the category type code "Alcohol" 

 

Scheduling Alcohol Availability

1. Go to the Operations tab in the backoffice
2. Select your Brand and location from dropdown menus
3. Go to Menu Availability tab
4. Click the "..." button on right side of page
5. Select "Schedule Alcohol Availability" 
   
   
   
   
   
   
6. Enter the time in which you would like alcohol menu categories to be unavailable
7. Click SAVE 

Once you have successfully scheduled alcohol availability, you will see a banner on the Menu Availability tab informing you of the scheduled availability time. 

 

Removing scheduled alcohol availability 

If you would like to remove the scheduled alcohol availability, please follow the steps below. 

1. Go to the Operations tab in the backoffice
2. Select your Brand and location from dropdown menus
3. Go to Menu Availability tab
4. Click the "..." button on right side of page
5. Select "Schedule Alcohol Availability" 
6. Click on the garbage can icon to delete availability

Once you have successfully deleted scheduled alcohol availability, you will no longer see the banner with schedule availability time in the Menu Availability tab.
