Summary
- We are required to provide a combination of elements to publish apps on the Google Playstore and the Apple App Store
- The elements are similar for each store but they are not the same. This document provides an overview on what is required
- All visual assets are created by Tacit and approved by the client
- App listing are reviewed by both the Google Playstore and Apple app store. Providing inaccurate information in the store listing may cause the apps to be rejected. Please read section below to avoid having apps rejected.
- Failure to provide app listing information will cause delays in our ability to publish apps
- Your project manager will provide you with a spreadsheet to complete intake for app store information
Best Practices
- App names are not required to be unique for the Google Playstore or Apple App Store
- The only reason an app name may be reject is for copyright reasons or if it is deemed inappropriate
- App names should avoid using corporate company names, to avoid copyright issues
- Google Play store descriptions should not make any mention of Apple/iOS features (i.e. Apple Pay)
- Apple App store listing descriptions should not make any mention of Google/Android features (i.e. Google Pay)
